Gotta love pretapes!  Been through my share.  Now as I await my release with two more feeds to take in, I figured I’d set up some summer tunes for your weekend pleasure as I do my own thing.  Can only imagine the stories about to be had…by all of us.

Surprisingly, I still don’t own this record.  Joshua Radin’s music has been a major part of my adult life that almost every single record finds it’s way into my world.  Will always remember singing along in a sold out Hollywood Palladium as he performed some of my favorite anthems to a lukewarm crowd back in 2011.

His new independent release — ‘Wax Wings‘ (Out now!) — is much more uplifting than his last.  Still haunting.  Always beautiful.  Joshua’s acoustic romantic folk rock was made for sunny holiday weekends like this.  Songs for sunlight poking through living room blinds.  Wind breezy.  Empty blue sky, riding with the top down.  ’Wax Wings’ will keep these stories as lasting memories tucked away in your head.

Lose yourself in the moments.  For this is Joshua Radin at his best.

Wanted Two Things:  The longest title in our history & a killer beat to kick off this holiday weekend as I roll out. Mission Accomplished.  This is the ‘Can’t Hold Us’ remix brought to you from Major Lazer.  Here we go.  #swat

Are you ready for this?  Part of me is…the other half I’ll be mad busy until I leave at ?:??.  We didn’t post Friday’s show last night.  Very disappointing.  The graphics were fine.  Everything else was fucked.  Meaning today is going to be a LONG one.  Expecting to leave here at 6pm.  If I roll out earlier, then win in the victory column.

Despite the fact I’m not a fan of Fitz, especially the comment he made towards me at SXSW, absolutely loving this record.  It’s catchy pop.  Executed beautifully. Can’t blame the guy for being kind of a dick.  The pictures still came out quite great and they put out one amazing showcase that is noteworthy as can be.  As long as the music is great…I can forgive.  Won’t forget.  Never.  That’s my problem.  It lingers in my head…meh.

If you like this type of 80s, electronic pop, then ‘More Than Just A Dream‘ is worthy experiencing.  The full record is available to preview on their youtube page.  Recommend it highly.  Now I’ll have ‘Out of My League’ stuck in my head.  Do I do these things to myself.

That Heat / Pacers showdown last night was mad crazy.  Yet, LeBron showed George what Clutch really means.  The motherfucker is a train.  Either stand back and let him take the shot.  Or get out the way.  I’m not a LeBron / Heat fan, but this sums it up…

All Hail king James.  I’ll still be hash taging #beattheheat until it’s all said & done.  Good basketball to come.  Super excited.

Enough sports.  Very uninteresting stuff for most our readers.  Sorry.  Sometimes, I gotta be me…ya know?  I like Music, Movies, Sex, Comics, Video Games, Beer, Wings, Driving, Ocean Breezes, Gifts, Instagraming, Tweeting, Anime Flicks, Nail Biting Basketball, Hockey, and the ladies.  Oh yes.  The latter especially.

Big weekend ahead.  Pretty sure I’m on call, which dampers everything…but I’ll make the most of my nights.  Tend to rage when the sun goes down anyway.  Beach! Want to roll to the beach.  Other than that.  The future is so bright.  Hopefully, you make the most of your time.  Might surprise you with some posts.  Check back.  The bored 4 music will be streaming something of value.

If you don’t own ‘R.A.M.’ (out now), you are seriously missing out on some really amazing music.  It won’t be our ‘Album of The Week’ because I don’t feature albums that have had a post in the past month.  However, I’m not sold on that law yet.  Daft Punk’s RAM is really incredible.  But us U.S. listeners won’t get this Japanese bonus track entitled ‘Horizon’.  Like an ocean breeze, it is calming and sweet in perfectly acoustic sort of way.

Leaves me saying one thing…

Another #wackwednesday brings us a rather funny & catchy track from those Lonely Island fellows; musicians.  This is best possible use of the lyric video; words.  Solange helps the hook; not Beyonce.  The Wack Album drops June 7th; solid gold.

Love the track, the video is bit strange for my taste.  The ladies will love seeing Adam touching himself in paint.  That line alone probably has the fan girls loving it more than ‘Playing for Change’.  So, enjoy the fan service…  All the Adam Levine a Maroon 5 fan can wish for. Bleh.  This is “Love Somebody”.

Very strange video.  Doesn’t really fit the track…until the end.  Shot beautifully in Black & white.  Matt was inspired by Hitchcock’s movie catalog.  Psycho.  The Birds.  Rear Window.  The song is worthy in picking up.

More gangsta rap.  Nice to get away from the mellow, don’t cha think?  More of that to come during the daily.  I only own one Ice Cube record.  Not counting his soundtracks for ‘Friday’ SDTK Trilogy.  He’s not my favorite rapper.  Nor my favorite actor.  This track does featuring double dose of Ice as Ice-T makes a cameo as his tag team partner.  Taking the temperature down to sub zero for three minutes.  It’s hard for me not to laugh because John Mulany has forever changed my perception of Ice-T.  Check out his comedy special segment on SVU.  Almost died laughing.

Went to the Grove yesterday to check out the Bluth’s banana stand as it toured the country.  Arrested Development is on a major PR campaign for the season and the turnout was huge!  The line for a comedic frozen banana was over a hour long.  Crazy.  You also got a poster & a sticker that said, “Mr. Television”.  Glad I went.  Interesting stuff.  Can’t wait for the new season to start.  Mere days away.

Two days until four days off.  Let’s keep the music rolling…

Now that New Girl has wrapped for a few months, She & Him has all of Zooey’s Focus.  They begin touring a month or so, and should be fun as the tracks from Volume #3.
