I was there at the Belmont in Austin, front row, when Hayley premiered this song live. The crowd went nuts. They were into this song, now you can if you haven’t heard it already. Check out their next ‘Now’ Single — “Still Into You”. You’ll dig it.

Ugh. Long day yesterday. Waking up was quite hard, but here I am. Eating my sandwich. Drinking my coke. Watching my sportscenter. Go clippers. Killer win last night against the defending champs. Strangely, don’t feel half bad. Wait till 12pm I always say. It’s not like I’m expecting an easy day. Pretaping 3 shows for Thanksgiving as our new helm trying to make it all feel a bit different. Which, I’m okay with. Gary Clark Jr. Showcase went well. More on that soon.
Saw Flight during the quiet break between work and…well…work. Personally, I hate seeing movies at Universal Citywalk. So many unsupervised kids trying to catch a bone. If you catch my drift. I could hear two youngsters (whoa, I’m 68?) quietly getting it on five rows in front of me. It wasn’t like I was the only person. There were 5 more of us in the tiny, very loud, theater. All that nudity with Denzel fucking any woman he met was kind of erotic (ha!). If you knew the film was basically a giant message for AA [not american airlines] then you’ll be happy with Whip’s character progression. Denzel plays a great drunk. What I hated was one of the final scenes where…without spoiling anything…a old character returns to help Denzel before the climax and it felt very much like a ‘Rom Com’ when that hero has to get somewhere important. Very out of place. That plane is was crazy cool tho. To sum up: rental!
It’s been awhile since I covered Lissie. After being my second B4M Event back in 2010, she kind of fell off the music world’s radar. Still love this song. Right now, in the car, Gary Clark Jr. is on repeat. Itching to tell you all about it. The event is going to go live before I fall asleep. Keep that mystery for a little bit longer.
No TV news because I haven’t been home! Deal with it.
