Guerrilla Nights

I couldn’t think of a something to share this morning.  YouTube recommended this to me, knowing my past history with Mr. Morrison.  Haven’t played it since back in May.  Now I can’t stop hitting repeat.  What a wonderful feeling.  Hope you enjoy it too.

Still tired after altering my normal schedule last night by following Picksysticks to Amoeba records for Ellie Goulding’s free showcase in the land of million records.  A venue she plays a few years back to little crowds.  You would’ve known this if you follow our Twitter.  Even saw some of the blurry highlights.  Here they are if you are dying to see some Ellie Highlights or if you hate twitter.

Pretty cool WordPress feature?  Don’t utilize it enough.  I’m a flickr fan.  Majorly.  Really wish I would’ve had my camera equipped in my inventory, but what can you do.  Hard to turn down a free show…who sold out The Troubadour the night before might I add…with a obvious rising star.  +/- the skrillex reference.  WOOB WOOB.  Wasn’t too impressed.  Neither with her new album.  She sounds better on the record.  Live…it’s really raw and crackly.   Picksysticks got some spectacular shots with his Nikon.  I’ll link them whenever they appear on his blog.

He wasn’t too happy with the angle, but hey…that’s why they created high speed long lens.  One of the people next to us was rocking a high power point and shoot.  After a quick conversation I saw similarities in our ‘concept’ of concert hobbies.  Scary that I’m not alone in my quest.  Prefer to be solo.

Was pitched ZZ Ward tonight at the Troubadour by my friend, but she hasn’t made mention of it for a week or so.  So if that happens…I’m ready.  Camera hiding away in my bag this time.  If not.  No worries.  Saw her before.  Then tomorrow, Mr. Stone for the fifth time.  I always wanted an artist that we exclusively covered and it appears that Mr. Stone is that artist.  Couldn’t have picked a better choice really.  Then Josh Turner next week.  Ah.  Even though I a feel a little piece of decay the sheer freedom of this hobby is inspiring.  I wasn’t made for desks.

That’s all I wrote.  No TV stuff.  Been too busy living life.  Remember you only got one.  Could tell you about the deep thought I had about death that popped into my head two days ago…i wont though.  Still can’t escape it.  No matter how I change the subject.  Anyway…have a great Thursday   Wheresoever you may be.  Go with your heart.
