 Why do I always break my self imposed rules?  Because I like breaking rules.  Always been apart of my nature.  No matter how hard I try fight it.  Quick cameo before I run out on you again.

Now I’m here staring out this coffee shop window at a bunch of unsupervised kids playing kick ball, a couple wrapped in blankets lovelorn watching waves crashing, listening to “New God Flow” on repeat, and trying not to itch the sunburn covering my whole body.  Couldn’t sleep last night.  The region around my neck was/is unbearable.  Totally worth it, but lasting reminder of my stupidity.  Wear sunblock kids.  Don’t challenge the sun god and his waves.  The rest of my time here in Newport has been great.  Walking couple miles every day, drunk, lawn chairing on the beach, and the rest of the time is spent on the very comfortable couch.

Haven’t been down here since I was like 14.  Forgot how much I loved it. Don’t find many of the Los Angeles beaches very impressive.  They are nothing like Newport.  Because when you experienced the greatest beach California has to offer, second best sometimes doesn’t do.  Just wished I had a dog!  My perfect morning would be walking he/she down the boardwalk to a coffee shop like this, grubbing on a donut as I write a little bit, and then some Frisbee by the water to burn those calories off.

It’s been nice.  Soaking the last remaining days because my second week of vacation might not go ahead as planned.  A close friend of mine is about to depart to a new job and I threw my hat into the ring to be his replacement.  Consequently, saying goodbye to all my future Award show appearances.  Tough decision but it’s time to move on.  Knew then when I closed the door to our star wagon back in February that my time had about to ended.   Here’s what i ultimately thought: I want to leave the day job with at least something really technical on the resume and this new gig gets me a pay increase & new title.  Two things overdue to me.  Nothing is in stone yet.  Fear there is great drama abound, but I need to start thinking about my future.  Hope they don’t hold it against me.  Wish me luck!
